Prof. dr. Marianne Sloet
Prof. dr. Marianne M. Sloet van Oldruitenborgh-Oosterbaan graduated in 1982 cum laude at Utrecht University. She obtained her PhD in 1990 on the thesis "Heart rate and blood lactate in exercising horses".
In 1982-1983 she worked part-time in a general practice and part-time at the Department of Large Animal Medicine, Utrecht University. Between 1995 and 2005 she was head of the Equine Internal Medicine Clinic. Between 2002 and 2008 she was president of the European College of Equine Internal Medicine.

Presently she is president of the Board of Animal Arbitrage of the Netherlands, chair of the Laryngeal Hemiplegia Committee of the Royal Studbook of the Netherlands (KWPN) and Veterinary Advisor of the Dutch National Equestrian Federation (KNHS).

Prof. Sloet is professor of equine internal medicine at Utrecht University in the Department of Equine Sciences. Her main interests are equine exercise physiology, equine dermatology, forensic medicine and equine emerging diseases.
